The transformation of Yemen into a six-region federation is not such a nice move. I really doubt this will help the country.

Why don’t they realize the importance of unity? I believe now they will fight over resources or on other matters in a much-organized manner.

It seems to be an important development; as for the time being one can hope that the ongoing fighting will cease. However, people aware of the nature of Yemeni society are skeptical. Yemen is not a very rich country. What do these six federating units expect to achieve? There could have been other ways to put an end to the violence. Let’s hope for the best and prepare for the worst.
