The Saudi Commission for Investigation and Prosecution will begin investigations against 117 fake Haj companies that authorities detected this Haj season.

The violators, both Saudis and residents, will be subjected to penalties ranging from imprisonment and fines.

Col. Muhammad Al-Bassami, control and prevention forces commander, said that 30,000 pilgrims were fingerprinted randomly during Haj at various locations in Mina to seek out the violators of Haj regulations and those who did not obtain the mandatory Haj permits.

He pointed out that during the investigations, the fingerprints will be scrutinized to identify the violators.
