The Ministry of Education plans to open 1,500 kindergartens and create jobs for thousands of teachers to staff these facilities over the next five years.

Minister of Education Prince Khaled Al-Faisal recently approved the expansion project, in accordance with a royal order aimed at the development of public education.

The setting up of the new kindergartens over the five year period will ensure the Kingdom has 3,091 such facilities in the country. There would be about 300 set up every year over the duration of the project.

The capacity of kindergartens in the country will increase by 123 percent, from 123,313 to 273,313 children.
