The Manila-based Overseas Welfare Administration (OWWA) has announced that 17 students from different schools in Riyadh have qualified for the OWWA scholarship for the current year.

Successful examinees will receive financial assistance of up to 60,000 pesos (SR5,000) per year.

The results of the examinations were released through the Philippine Overseas Labor Office in Riyadh (POLO-Riyadh), which in turn relayed the information to local schools.

Successful examinees from Future Generation International School (FUGEN) include Manuelle Kristian T. Bitong, Hannah Grace R. Dimapilis, Jacob L. Eisma, Grenadine Mae R. Labrador, Jernie T. Merla and Ericka Lynne S. Nava.

Students who passed the exam at the Riyadh International School include Rhonor Rae Valmocina Arasula, Bien Lope Sancho Jayag and Ma. Katrina Cruz Lavarias.

Palm Crest students who qualified include Gene Luche Morancil, Arcef Jeremy Viacrucis Festejo and Iris Denize Onanad Rivera.

The Second Philippine International School, meanwhile, saw Aaron Jay Vanadero Argel, Alyssa Nicole Dela Cruz Rosario, and Dana Trisha Nalula Wahab pass the test.

The ATIS and AFIS each had one student qualify. These were Gabriel Jay Magbuhat Mendoza and John Patrick Nevallo Bautista.
