Jeddah Police seized and destroyed 18 barrels of liquor that was found during a raid on a residential house in Rawabi district in the city.

“The Jeddah Police raided a residential house in Rawabi district after receiving a tip-off about liquor production inside, and destroyed 18 barrels of liquor and 75 cans that were ready for distribution,” Dr. Aati Al-Qurashi, spokesperson of Makkah region police headquarters said.

Giving details in a statement released on Wednesday, he said the accused was an Arab national and living in the Kingdom illegally. The police also questioned the owner of the house in connection with the case.

Police advised people not to shelter any offender or rent out houses under their names that would only put them at risk.
