Two soldiers of the Border Guards were killed in the border area of Daharan Al-Junoub in the southern province of Asir on Wednesday, a hospital source said.

“A Border Guard ambulance brought two men with gun shot wounds to hospital this morning. Doctors tried to revive them but they had succumbed to their injuries,” Health Directorate spokesman in Asir Saeed Al-Naqir said.

Sabaq Online daily reported that the two men, both sergeant captains, were from the Border Guard camp in Al-Rubua. While one of them died on the spot the second officer succumbed to his wounds shortly thereafter.
