Three fire accidents took place in Jeddah yesterday in different parts of the city. Nine firefighting trucks moved to put out the first fire that broke out at a tire warehouse in south Jeddah yesterday.

The warehouse occupies 2,600 square meters and is surrounded by other warehouses, but firefighting teams successfully isolated it before the fire spread. Ahmed Al-Sifri, the officer who investigated the fire, stated that there were no injuries.

The second fire broke out at a residential building in the Al-Jameah district. Two teams rushed to the three-floor building and rescued residents. The fire was fueled by wooden barriers placed on the balconies.

The police department took part in the investigation because a criminal act is suspected to be behind the break-out.

The third fire accident also took place at a residential building in Makaroonah street. Two men and one woman were rescued and were sent to the hospital. Investigations have shown that the fire was caused by an electrical short-circuit.
