Four people were killed and 12 were injured in bus-truck collision on the Al-Hijra highway connecting Makkah and Madinah on Sunday morning.

The Red Crescent’s operation room in Madinah received the report at 2 a.m. and sent 12 ambulances and two medical evacuation helicopters to the scene, said Spokesman Mahmoud Muhammad Khayyat.

Khayyat said that four people were in critical condition and were transferred to Al-Hamanah Hospital.

The other survivors suffered only minor injuries and were moved to different medical centers.
