Five people were injured in a car accident on Thursday which took place along King Fahd Causeway.

Fahd Al-Ghamdi, spokesperson for the Red Crescent in the Eastern Province (EP), said that the EP’s Red Crescent operation room received a phone call from a citizen at 10:07 p.m. on Thursday, reporting a car accident along King Fahd Causeway in the direction of Al-Aziziyah District.

“Three ambulatory teams, an advanced ambulance and a field leadership team were dispatched to the location. Upon their arrival, the teams examined the injured individuals. Four individuals sustained mild injuries, while one of them suffered a major injury,” he said.

Al-Ghamdi explained that ambulatory services were provided to four injured people, who were later transferred to the medical complex in the Military City and King Fahd Hospital in Alkhobar, while the fifth patient refused medical examination.






The spokesman urged the public to leave tracks open for ambulances and to not crowd the vicinity of an accident scene as it impedes the provision of emergency assistance to those in need.
