The Philippine Embassy said yesterday that 506 Filipinos have cast their votes for the first four days since the overseas absentee voting commenced last Saturday.

“There were 149 who voted on Saturday, 117 on Sunday, 110 on Monday and 130 on Tuesday,” Ambassador Ezzedin H. Tago told Arab News yesterday.

He also said that in the Eastern Province, 99 Filipinos had cast their votes as of Monday.

“We know that these are working days and most voters are at work. We hope that voters in Riyadh will find time to visit the embassy on the weekend and vote,” he said.

Tago added that in Alkhobar the voting is being conducted at the Al-Jazeera International School, which is the venue of the regular consular outreach programs.

The voting time for both Riyadh and Alkhobar on weekends (Thursdays and Fridays) is 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. On weekdays, voting time is between 12 and 8 p.m. in Alkhobar and 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. in Riyadh.
