The Ministry of Justice ordered 53 people arrested for refusing to comply with the orders of law courts in Buraidah over the past three months.

The arrest orders were issued by the verdict implementation judges in Buraidah.

The authority of the recently introduced implementation system covered rulings on bounced checks, bonds and many other verdicts in cases involving movable and immovable assets and real estate. They also involved refusal to abide by rulings in favor of the divorced wife, widowed women and custody of children.

Those who were found reluctant to obey the rulings were handed jail time ranging between one and three months.

The verdict implementation system, which was introduced last year, aims to speed up the implementation of judicial rulings, and settlement decisions. Under the system, a judge takes the help of the competent authorities such as law enforcement agencies to ensure that court orders are implemented.
