RIYADH: 65 percent of the 157,312 health care employees working in hospitals and clinics are not older than 40, according to statistics, which also say the percentage is valid for both men and women.
Besides this age group, about 33,283 employees are between 41 and 50 years of age, while around 21,033 employees are between 51 and 60.
Around 14,059 foreign employees, or 67 percent, are in this age range as well. The Ministry of Civil Service urged health care graduates and specialists to apply for the jobs available in the sector, irrespective of where they obtained their qualifications from.
Applicants can use the Jadara service, making sure that all the information submitted is accurate, in order to avoid complications.
The ministry also said that those interested should indicate their qualifications and priorities by selecting from among the jobs advertised.
Applicants must provide proof of qualifications, as per the regulations, and higher degree holders with qualifications obtained abroad will need adequate degree and grades for their certifications to be recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education.
In order to be employed, applicants also need to pass the professional evaluation test and submit a professional licence certificate from the Saudi Commission for Health Care Specialities.
The ministry said applications that are not submitted during the designated period will not be taken into consideration.
