So far, 950,000 Pakistani expatriate workers have rectified their status and the number of Pakistanis who need to correct their status is marginal and already registered with the official website.

Pakistani Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Muhammad Naim Khan, speaking to local media, said: “The doors are still open for those who wish to correct their status.”

Stating that Pakistan appreciated the royal gesture of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah for extending the grace period for Pakistanis to correct their status, he said: “All Pakistani nationals in the Kingdom lead a good life, enjoying the benefits of a safe and secure living.”

He said the embassy and the consulates are waiting for paperwork of their nationals to be completed. “Saudi Arabia and Pakistan enjoy a strong historical relationship, evident from the care and attention extended not only to Haj and Umrah pilgrims, but also visitors from Pakistan from the moment they set foot on Saudi soil,” he said.

He thanked the Ministry of Haj Affairs and the National Tawafa Establishment for South Asian Pilgrims for their efforts and the services they provide to pilgrims.
