The Batha Customs Authority recently thwarted two attempts to smuggle large quantities of alcohol into the Kingdom.

More than 24,000 liquor bottles were caught hidden among other goods. Aid Al-Anzi, general manager of Al-Batha customs, said the authority aborted two separate operations to smuggle in alcohol. The authority found 21,000 bottles after inspecting a truck loaded with tangerines.

The second operation included the uncovering of more than 2,000 bottles of alcohol hidden inside industrial machines.
