Hama, the women empowerment initiative of Alwaleed bin Talal Foundation, has sponsored the public relations and media diploma in partnership with the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI).

The diploma is a one-year academic program that aims to enable Saudi female professionals in media and PR, and covers a variety of topics, including communications tools, PR management, media planning, media campaigns, media impact, social media, and press releases.

The partnership between the ladies branch of the RCCI and Alwaleed bin Talal Foundation is in support of a shared goal toward women empowerment and enhancing their leadership roles in the community.

Hama works on supporting government initiatives, nonprofit organizations and the private sector to enable females to enter the labor market at all levels of education, and works to create modern jobs in line with the current advancement of Saudi society. It is collaborating with the RCCI in training for employment, which is essential in the labor market.

A ceremony was held in celebration of the opening of the Public Relations and Media Diploma at the RCCI. The ceremony included an opening speech from Nouf Al-Rakan, head of Businesswomen’s Council, followed by a brief by Princess Hela bint Abdulrahman, general manager of the RCCI.

Abir Kaki, secretary-general of Alwaleed Bin Talal Foundation, gave a statement and a brief about Hama was given by Nora Al-Malki, executive manager of development projects at Alwaleed Foundation.

Hama aims to support women’s empowerment issues, emphasize their leadership within the society, empower women economically, develop their productivity and enhance their capacity in functional and technical fields.

Hama also supported the decision of the Ministry of Labor for the feminization of sales employees of shops by training females who wish to be employed in sales.
