Jeddah Municipality inspectors recently raided a warehouse that was found to be storing expired chicken supplies.

The raids come two months after a large-scale raid foiled attempts to distribute rotten chicken to restaurants and shops.

Authorities also confiscated a truck containing 2,000 expired chicken packs of various weights, which were intended for distribution to restaurants in the city, said the Jeddah Municipality statement.

The municipality called police patrols to the scene, where the expired supplies were then destroyed.

A truck containing 500 chicken products and liver was also seized before being delivered to restaurants in Taiba near Usfan. A case has been filed against the supplier and the truck driver.
