Bazmay Gul, a school for religious education and the learning of the Holy Qur’an, celebrated their annual function with pride.

The program began with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an by Maryam and Naat was presented by a group to honor Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The head teacher of the school, Farhana Masood, explained the success of the children in reciting and memorizing Qur’an, Hadith, daily prayers and the importance of Islam and its basics.

She emphasized the participation of the parents in their daily homework, memorizing the Qur’an and offering daily prayers on time. She explained that those children whose parents monitored their children in their studies, got excellent grades in class and are well behaved.

“It’s very important that parents pay attention to their children not only in what they are doing in regular schools but also in helping to learn and understand their religion, the importance of daily prayers and understanding of the meaning of the Qur’an,” she said.

Masood thanked her assistant teachers for assisting her in conducting classes and helping students in learning daily prayers, memorizing the Qur’an and other activities.

“The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is the role model in our day-to-day life, so we are supposed to obey His rulings.”

“Parents are role models for their children whom they look up to and imitate. So if parents fight in front of their children they will do the same. Therefore, it is very important for parents to set an example in praying regularly themselves and being excellent models of Muslims,” Masood said.

During the function, the children presented different plays on topics such as “Lying is a bad habit,” “Islam stops us from backbiting,” “Giving gifts is Islam,” “Islam teaches us about helping others,” “Sunnah of the Prophet,” “A message for 21st century parents for the judgment Day” and many more.

The children who received top positions were given medals and gifts at the end of the program. The toppers of the year were Maliha, Maham, Arisha, Layba Fareed, Manal, Isa and Abeer.

Mahnoor, Khulood, Wajdan, Rehab Yunus, Rehab Sajjad, Jawariya stood in first position.

Mrs. Shabana, Mrs. Sameena Yousuf and Mrs. Asfa organized the program.
