Tabuk police have arrested three people with hearing impairment for stealing cars and changing their colors and car plates, local media said quoting an official at the Tabuk police.

A citizen had earlier reported his white car stolen and later called in to report that he had spotted the exact same car with marks on it identical to his own but in a different color, after which security patrols determined that it was indeed the man’s car, said Lt. Col. Khalid Al-Ghaban, Tabuk police spokesman.

Police then found two citizens with hearing impairment near the same location inside a tent with several car plates and two stolen cars parked nearby.

A third suspect then drove up to the site in another car that is suspected to have been stolen.

Investigators also found installation and dismantling equipment at the site.

The suspects have been referred to relevant authorities for prosecution and the items found at the scene seized, he said.
