The Philippine Embassy has reiterated an earlier announcement that the consular outreach in Alkhobar on March 21 and 22 has been cancelled. Applicants on those dates have been rescheduled to either March 28 or 29.

The applicants affected by the re-scheduling of appointments will be informed by e-mail and phone if their contact details are available. They have been advised to confirm their new schedules through the embassy website at www.philembassy-riyadh.org.

Applicants were also reminded to confirm the date of the expiry of their passports, and to apply for a new passport nine months before its expiry. The embassy clarified that it is not possible to travel to various destinations with a passport that has less than six months’ validity.

Meanwhile, the country’s Embassy on Wheels (EOW) program rendered consular services to more than 350 Filipinos in Sakaka, Al-Jouf north of Riyadh on March 14 and 15.

Led by Consul Mohd. Noordin N. Lomondot, the EOW team accepted and processed various consular documents including 353 e-passport applications, two consular documents, five births and one lost passport application.

The Filipinos in the region expressed happiness over the EOW’s visit since they have difficulties traveling the long distance to the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh.
