Two contracts were awarded recently to local contractors for the implementation of rain-flood disposal projects in Riyadh, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The contracts, signed by Prince Mansour bin Mitib, minister of municipal and rural affairs, are worth more than SR1 billion.

The first deal, worth SR459.4 million, was awarded to the Al-Jazira Peninsula Contracting Co., which is to implement the project in eight districts in Riyadh over three years, the agency said.

The second contract, worth SR633 million, was awarded to Fahad Sulaiman Al-Fawzani & Co., which is assigned to implement the project in three districts over a three-year period, it added.
