JEDDAH: The Ministry of Haj and Umrah is set to begin organizing all reservation and contracting services for local Haj visitors electronically. The decision comes as part of the ministry’s efforts in applying Article 9 of the Executive Law to Serve Haj Pilgrims by offering them safe journeys at appropriate prices.
The ministry also approved a new cancellation policy for reservations this year, stipulating that all refunds will be done through the online portal. Reservations and program selections will start at eight o’clock on Thursday morning on the first day of Dhul Qi’dah and will continue for one week.
The ministry’s media center stated that the ministry will define the reservation and contracting service through the e-portal for domestic pilgrims to protect their rights and achieve the principle of equal opportunities for people who wish to perform Haj.
The ministry will also confirm the approval of e-contracts to serve domestic pilgrims electronically, adding that the contract is effective without the need for it to be signed by any of the parties.
