JEDDAH: The pragmatic coordination of five ministries will help in the implementation of Saudization in the telecommunication sector.
The coordination between the ministries of interior; labor and social development; municipal and rural affairs; commerce, investment and telecommunication; and information technology represents 50 percent of the jobs in the sector, a local publication reported
According to details, Najran topped the list of most committed facilities (95 percent), followed by the Eastern Province (93 percent), the Northern Borders Region (91 percent), Tabuk (90 percent), Riyadh, Qasim and Hail (89 percent each).
The inspection teams carried out 24,619 visits across the Kingdom since the beginning of Ramadan, during which it detected 3,343 violations, with 2,452 of these referred to the sanctions committee, while 1,881 facilities were shut down and another 891 shops were given closure warnings during the campaigns.
Dr. Fahd bin Abdullah Al-Ewaidi, the undersecretary at the Ministry of Labor and Social Development, said the decision involves sectors and establishments of all sizes.
Al-Ewaidi called on all establishments to limit the work on sale and maintenance of communication equipment and accessories only to Saudis.
The undersecretary urged the ministry’s clients to cooperate and communicate with it and report violations related to the Saudization through the website on the link www.rasd.ma3an.gov.sa.
