Police in Hail arrested a man and woman of Arab descent for stealing an Asian shopkeeper’s wallet, which had SR10,000 inside it.

The worker reported the incident to Baqa police and said that the woman snatched the wallet and that the two fled in a Mercedes, said Col. Abdulaziz Al-Zunaidi, spokesman for Hail Police.

They were arrested after the report was circulated to road security and police patrols and the victim identified them.

Over SR400,000 was found in their possession, in addition to money in other Gulf currencies. They are being investigated to ascertain their involvement in other criminal activity.
