Imam and Khatib at the Grand Mosque Sheikh Saleh Al-Taleb said Operation Decisive Storm launched by the Kingdom, with the support of many other countries, has returned hope to the Ummah to successfully unite against its enemies.

He said in his sermon at the Friday congregation at the Grand Mosque that the King’s decision to launch the operation against Houthi militants in Yemen was a bold and wise decision that came at the most needed time.

“Thank Almighty Allah for enabling Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman to take this historic decision, to which the Arab and Muslim leaders responded quickly to unite with him,” Sheikh Saleh Al-Taleb said.

“It also received the support of religious scholars, Muslim organizations and legitimate bodies the world over. It was also endorsed by all the intellectuals in the world,” he said.

The Kingdom made this decision only after Houthis rejected all efforts to settle the issue peacefully.

The imam said that while the regional power which fomented trouble in Yemen used to lash out at the Zionists with its tongue, its guns were directed against the chests of Arabs and Muslims.

The Houthis and their supporters not only terrorized Yemen but also declared their enmity to the land of the Two Holy Mosques and vowed to spread chaos and terror in the Kingdom.

The Kingdom strove with its reasoning and wisdom to put out the fire of sedition and take the initiative to bring the differing factors together for dialogue in order to spare Yemen from slipping into civil war or becoming submerged in chaos and turmoil.

“The Kingdom exercised patience for a long time, but the appeal of logic was lost in sectarian blindness and the aggressors gained strength with the interventions of the shameless outsiders who sought to destabilize the region and spread chaos,” the sheikh said.

He added that Decisive Storm was launched by the Kingdom to curb the enemy’s destructive power and in order to return Yemen’s authority to the Yemenis.

Imam and Khatib at the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah Sheikh Ali Al-Hodhaifi said in his sermon that the Kingdom led the strikes against enemy sites in Yemen in response to the call for help of an oppressed neighbor whose sovereignty was taken away by force and the rights of people were violated.

“It was then Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques decided to rescue the oppressed neighbor with the right decision and with the blessing of Allah the Great,” he said.
