A plan to provide housing for elderly Saudis experiencing difficulty making ends meet has been announced by Muhammad Al-Qarily, a social services and mental health supervisor in Jeddah.

The plan calls for establishing a large building for such citizens in all of the Kingdom’s big cities, “beginning with Riyadh and Jeddah and then moving on to the rest of the country’s cities,” Al-Qarily told a local newspaper.

He said a number of workshops had taken place with the participation of ministries and government agencies during a ceremony celebrating Social Services International Day.
