An embassy on wheels team visited the Eastern Province last week and rendered consular services to overseas Filipino workers, said Philippine Ambassador Ezzedin H. Tago.

The five-member embassy team, headed by Consul General Marshall Louis Alferez, was able to make 1,234 transactions for the community in the region at the Al-Jazeera International School in Dammam.

“The team processed 778 passport applications, 123 passport extensions, 13 lost paper replacements, 45 birth registrations and 275 notarial and authentication services,” the ambassador said.

Moreover, 1,600 new passports were issued during the two-day mission.

The consular team will visit Alkhobar on Sept. 13 to 14 to extend the same services.
