As part of monitoring the services of pilgrim companies, the Makkah branch of the Ministry of Haj has started sending SMS messages to the companies warning against failure in providing proper services to pilgrims.

The ministry wants to ensure that the companies fulfill all their commitments to pilgrims without any failure, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Saturday.

Any violation or negligence on the part of a company is being brought to the attention of that company instantly on SMS and it is asked to correct the violations.

The Umrah season started in December 2013.

Amin Qatani, director of the ministry’s branch in Makkah, said the operation plan of the ministry for the Umrah season is being implemented with the approval of the Haj Minister Bandar Hajjar.
