Civil Defense teams rescued an Arab expatriate after he suffered an electric shock while fixing a switchboard at a commercial complex in the Al-Samer district in Jeddah on Thursday.

A rescue team that was dispatched to the scene found that the man not only suffered electricity-related injuries, but was also trapped in an electrical field. The rescuers defused the electrically charged area, then administered first aid and took him to hospital.

The accident is under investigation, a source said.
