JEDDAH: A local newspaper has quoted well-informed sources as saying the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs defined around 70 municipal services in which its fees will be amended, out of the total of 150 services it provides for the secretariats affiliated with the ministry.

The sources said some segments of society will not be affected by the increase in the fees, mainly the limited-income category of citizens who are already beneficiaries of the social insurance, and persons with special needs.

The Cabinet decided Monday that the amendment of the municipal fees will take effect within 90 days of the issuance of the decision.
