Fires broke out in two different warehouses in Jeddah yesterday and late Sunday. There were no causalities.
Civil defense teams rushed to the scenes and extinguished the fire within time that prevented loss.
One fire broke out in a warehouse in Ruwais district behind Baroom center that belonged to a electrical company storing electrical transformers, cables and other equipment related to electrical supplies. Immediately after the fire started Civil Defense teams arrived and doused the blaze within an hour.
No casualties reported in the incident and workers were seen working normally in the warehouse and reasons are not known to cause of fire.
In a unrelated incident, a massive fire burned large warehouses in Southern Jeddah in Kilo 13 area on Sunday evening. A large warehouse that contained plastic material burned. Fourteen Civil Defense teams, including units from Makkah, rushed to the scene to extinguish the fire.
