In a new development in the case of the Yanbu female employee, Hawazen Baghdadi, a judge has ruled to suspend the accounts of the company who fired the woman and bring in by force the owner of the establishment. According to the judicial ruling, the owner failed to respond to the court’s decision to return the female employee back to work.

The ruling follows a judicial decision after the woman recounted the alleged sexual harassment she suffered at her workplace. According to the Baghdadi, her executive manager at the establishment, an Indian expatriate, asked her hand in marriage and threatened to fire her if she refused.

“Yanbu police department addressed its counterpart in Jeddah to bring in the accused who refused to enforce the initial ruling issued by the primary committee to return me to work,” said Baghdadi.

The executive manager of the establishment, Nasser Sedqi, who is accused of firing the woman from her post as a supervisor and inspector at Aramco Club, said the decision to fire her was an administrative decision. Sedqi emphasized that he does not allow his personal feelings to intervene in his work, local media reported.

A local publication said that the Yanbu governorate intervened in Baghdadi’s case after local media published her harassment story in the media.
