RIYADH: Weather forecast models indicate continued high temperatures in most areas of the Kingdom, which will be more severe in the eastern and central areas, and some western regions, ranging between 45° and 48°C and 40°and 45°C, respectively, with temperate conditions in the highlands.

Low clouds will continue to form over the mountainous regions of Asir, Jazan and Baha, which will increase the chances of thunderstorms and rain falling on these regions. High and medium clouds will continue over the eastern regions and Riyadh, with chances of light rainfall.

Cumulus clouds are expected to form again to constitute thunderstorms and rain on Thursday afternoon over Asir, Baha and Jazan.

Relatively high humidity will also continue in the north and south central regions, and in coastal and highland areas, with very high temperatures in the eastern and central regions.

Temperatures in some western parts of the Kingdom could exceed 45° Celsius in the central areas, and up to 48° degrees in the eastern parts. Temperatures will continue around 40°C to 45°C in the northern regions, and moderate in the highlands, ranging from 27°C to 33°C, with drops to 18°C in some parts of Asir and Baha.

Light to moderate winds will blow from the southwest on Tabuk and Jouf and the Northern Borders. Active winds will blow along the Red Sea coast, between the coastal regions of Makkah and Jazan, so caution is advised on the roads and along the shores of the Red Sea.

Weather maps indicate very a strong rainstorm is expected in the middle of next week which will be concentrated over the regions of Asir and Jazan, so caution is advised starting next Monday.
