The productive families in Al-Ahsa are looking forward to the launch of e-stores for their hand-made products sponsored by the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs.
The ministry aims to support these products at tourist festivals, heritage sites and markets, while facilitating the presence of the productive families to be self-reliant in buying and selling.
Al-Ahsa Mayor Adel Al-Mulhim said the mayoralty is working on the launch of an electronic licensing service for productive families in order to facilitate the required procedures to run art and craft activities in the region.
He said the mayoralty in partnership with Al-Ahsa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and social affair sector will exert more efforts to help this segment that has an active role in the Kingdom.
The mayor said the e-stores would contribute to market products of productive families.
“The mayoralty has allocated venues in festivals for productive families, in addition to their place in the artisans market that is under construction at the center of historical Hofuf.” he said.
“The mayoralty aims to improve and develop products, promote productive families’ marketing skills, and contribute to the participation of families in local markets,” he said.
The mayor said the mayoralty is seeking the concept of smart Al-Ahsa Oasis “iHasa.”
Al-Ahsa has over a thousand families capable of producing outstanding products through effective social support.
