TABUK: Tabuk Literary and Cultural Club organize the 1st Tabuk Festival for Gulf Poetry, which will be held in the period between 6 – 8 of April , with the participation of a number of known GCC poets.

Media spokesperson of the club Abdul Rahman Al-Okeimy said poets from all over the Gulf states will attend the festival, from Bahrain, Ali Al-Sharqawi and Fethiye Ajlan , Raja Al-Qahtani and Saadia Mefreh from Kuwait, from Qatar Abdullah Al-Salem and Haya Al- Dirham, Abdullah Al-Araimi and Hesa Al- Badi from Oman, Ibrahim Mohammed, Sheikha Al-Mutairi from the United Arab Emirates, in addition to a number of Saudi poets including Mohammed Jaber Al-Harbi , Misfer Al-Ghamdi, and Thoraya Al-Areed.

Al-Okeimy added that the festival would also pay tribute to the late Saudi poet Mohamed Al Thubaity.

He pointed out that the festival coincidence with the international celebrations of the World Poetry Day, and supervised by the director of the festival organizing committee, chief administrative officer at Tabuk club, the Saudi poet Abdel-Rahman Al-Harbi with the support and encouragement of the club’s chairman Naif Al-Juhani
