French President Francois Hollande expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Council of Saudi Chambers (CSC) for organizing the Saudi-French Business Forum in Riyadh recently. 

In an statement issued by the French Embassy, the president said, “The members of the organizing team at the CSC have done a terrific job of organizing such a successful event.” 

Some 550 top French and Saudi officials and businessmen, besides the President, attended the event.

“CSC has contributed significantly to the strengthening of bilateral relations between the two countries,” the president said, adding that such events are a good indicator and encouragement for organizing more programs of this nature in the future.

The statement letter was sent by the French Ambassador Bertrand Besancenot to CSC President Abdullah Al-Mubti following the president’s visit. 

Hollande also addressed a big gathering organized by the CSC at its headquarters.

During Hollande’s visit, Saudi Arabia and France signed nine cooperation agreements on energy, water, education, transport, urban and human resources. Hollande assured Saudi businesses of a favorable investment climate in France.

The French president was heading a top delegation including Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius and Defense Minister Jean-Yves Le Dria.
