The International Islamic Relief Organization in Saudi Arabia (IIROSA), an affiliate of the Muslim World League (MWL), provided SR2 million in aid to civilians affected by rain and low temperatures in Gaza.

The organization reconstructed 60 houses at a cost of SR1.5 million and distributed food items to 2,500 families living in Gaza worth SR500,000.

IIROSA also provided SR500,000 in financial assistance to farmers who lost large tracts of their agricultural land.

Ehsaan Saleh Taieb, acting secretary-general of IIROSA, said: “This is an important contribution because it comes at a time when life is becoming more difficult in Gaza.”

He said that assistance was provided to civilians whose houses were destroyed in the rain and to farmers who lost their crops and livestock in the disaster.

“IIROSA responded directly by providing humanitarian assistance with the aim of alleviating the suffering of the people in Gaza and will continue to provide assistance and support to everyone in need regardless of race, color, religion or creed. This initiative is backed by the Saudi Government and people,” he said.
