JEDDAH: The Consulate General of India here is gearing up for the country’s 70th Independence Day celebrations on Monday, Aug. 15.
The event will begin with the hoisting of the tricolor at 8 a.m. sharp at the premises of the consulate, Tahlia Street, behind National Commercial Bank.
Mohammed Noor Rahman Sheikh, consul general of India, will be hoisting the national flag.
The consulate has invited all Indian nationals, persons of Indian origin and friends of India for the flag-hoisting ceremony. Invitees are requested to assemble at the consulate premises by 7:45 a.m.
