The Indian Consulate has wared visa seekers not to fall prey to fraudulent websites claiming to be official websites for visa applications to India.

A press statement issued by the mission said that it bears no relation to websites such as www.indianvisa.co.in and www.indianvisa.co and that the only official website for online visa applications at any Indian mission is www.indianvisaonline.gov.in.

The statement said that visa fees are solely payable at the consulate’s visa section or at its outsourcing agency, BLS International.

“Anyone who has been ripped off by such fake websites should notify consulate officials and file a complaint with cyber crime law enforcement agencies in Saudi Arabia,” said the statement.
