An Indian expatriate was beaten to death upon his return from vacation.

“Two Asian expatriates living in the Azizia district had gotten into a fight following a family dispute,” said Col. Aati Al-Quraish of the Makkah regional police headquarters on Sunday.

“The victim, identified as Abbas Moideen, had suffered a cracked skull and died within five days of being admitted,” he said. “The police have considered this murder and have referred the case to the Bureau of Investigation and Prosecution for further action.”

According to sources, both victim and offender are both from Kerala in India and worked at a hardware store on Baladia Street in Jeddah’s Azizia district.

This is the second murder of an Indian expat within a month. Another Indian expat was brutally killed and his body set on fire in the Sharafia district last month.
