Indian organizations for community welfare in the Kingdom gave a clarion call to their brethren back home to vote for inclusive growth and harmony in the upcoming national election next month and not be swayed by divisive forces.

In a brainstorming session on “various aspects of the upcoming general election and the role of secular forces to combat the growing face of communalism in India” the representatives of the Indian groups analyzed the situation and called for unity.

Organized by Tanzeem Hum Hindustani, a voluntary non-commercial, non-religious organization of overseas Indians in Riyadh, the session was attended by Akhtarul Islam Siddiqui, president, Middle East NRI Association, M A R Saleem, president, Hindustani Bazm e urdu, Wasi Hyder Rizvi, ex-president, AMUOBA, Mohammad Nasim Akhtar, AMUOBA vice president, Misbahul Aarfin, president, Indian Research Scientists Association, Mukhtar Khan, president, BISWAS, Shamim Khan, president, Deccan Cultural Association, Obaidur Rahman, joint convenor, Milli Council, Sohail Ahmed, president, Indian Engineers Forum, Mirza Azmathullah Baig, joint secretary, Tanzeem Hum Hindustani, Rahman Shareef, Bazm e Shabab e Deccan, Kaleem Faroqui, Progressive Indian forum, Ahsan Nadwi, president, Nadwatul Ulema Old Boys Association, Kounain, Jamia Millia Islamia Alumni Association and Ozair Ghazi, a veteran NRI doctor.

The organizations decided to mobilize opinion against the fascist forces trying to intrude the pluralistic culture in the country.
