AMMAN: Jordan's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education Mohammed Al-Thuneibat said Jordan recognizes the high school certificate issued by the Kingdom’s Ministry of Education.

He denied rumors that the Jordanian ministry identified 10 countries from which high school diplomas are not recognized.

“I do not know where the story of the 10 countries came from,” he said.

In his statement to a local paper recently, Al-Thuneibat said the high school certificate issued by the ministry of education in any country is equal to those issued in Jordan.

“We have our national exam; the Kingdom has an achievement and capabilities exam for students who want to enter university," he said, noting that the Ministry of Education is not involved in admissions to universities but is only involved in the equivalence of diplomas.
