Asir Gov. Prince Faisal bin Khaled conveyed Friday the condolences of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman to the family of Cpl. Suleiman Al-Malki, who was killed in an exchange of fire with Houthi infiltrators at the Hessin center in Asir province.

The governor also conveyed the condolences of Crown Prince Muqrin, deputy premier, and Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif, second deputy premier and interior minister, to the martyr's family.

The prince visited the house of Suleiman's family in Al-Khaldiya district in Abha. He was received at the venue, where the condolences were received, by Assistant Commander of the Border Guard in Asir Brig. Saeed Al-Mahjari, relatives of the martyr and a number of officers of the guard.

''The martyred soldier is a loss to the nation while he is a son to all of us. What he did was a heroic act to defeat the aggressive militias attempting to destabilize the homeland,'' the prince told the father of the martyr.

The prince also said everyone in the country was proud of those who sacrificed their lives while discharging their religious and national duty.
