JEDDAH: Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman congratulated citizens from his personal Twitter account: “Eid Mubarak! May God the Almighty accept our fasting and worship of Ramadan, and may He bestow on our Islamic nation and the whole world harmony and stability.”
The king’s tweet got 170,000 retweets and 75,000 ‘likes’ by Thursday evening.
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif, in a message posted on the Interior Ministry portal, said: “May God the Almighty accept our worship. Eid Mubarak, your brother Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz.”
Muqbel Alomrani, a citizen, replied to the king: “May you always be in good health, resolute King.”
Another tweeter, Mazroue, said: “May we receive many more years with you at the helm.”
