JEDDAH: Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Italy and Malta Raed bin Khaled Qrimli received Helmut Simeone, project manager of the Italian company ‘Ansaldo STS’ in the embassy recently.
The two were accompanied by a number of Saudi student trainees at the Italian company, within the framework of the exchange program being conducted between the countries.
During the meeting, a visual presentation of programs and projects undertaken by the company in the Kingdom was shown, including the Riyadh Metro project, according to a report.
“We are happy to meet with these Saudi students who are studying engineering in order to develop skills, beneficial for the country’s development,” the envoy said and noted that this reflects Kingdom’s eagerness under the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, to develop human resources.
Further, the ambassador noted in a statement to the media: “This partnership reflects this durability of the bilateral relations between the Kingdom and the Republic of Italy for more than eight decades and its expansion into different fields to serve the best interests of both countries and peoples.”
Meanwhile, Simeone said the depth of cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Italy is embodied by the participation of the Saudi students in the training program in the institution.
The students also were pleased to meet with the ambassador, who told them that the experience they will acquire at this establishment will be reflected on the future of their country.
