Labor Ministry inspectors have arrested 357 expatriates for violating residence and work regulations, an official said here Monday.

The illegal workers were arrested over three days in Dammam, Al-Khafji and Hafr Al-Baten, said Mohammad Al-Faleh, director of the EP labor office.

The government teams included 200 members of the police and security forces led by Col. Hamed Al-Soqor, director of the EP administrative control division, Hamed bin Naser, director of inspections at the Labor Ministry, Nayed Al-Rashidi, director of the Al-Khafji region, and Ahmed Al-Enzi, director of the Hafr Al-Baten region.

“We will continue to cooperate with other government agencies to achieve our task of ensuring public security and correcting the labor market in the Eastern Province," Al-Faleh said.
