Land transport costs have inwcreased 30 to 40 percent across the Kingdom during Ramadan, local media said quoting members of the National Committee of Transport at the Council of Saudi Chambers (CSC).

Such an increase has been attributed to numerous factors, which include Labor Ministry nationalization initiatives and the impact this has had on salaries within the sector, Said Al-Bassami, head of the committee, said.

Committee members attributed price hikes to the growing demand on land transport.
