A Saudi citizen in his 60s reported his mentally unstable brother missing to the Jarajer police station of Al-Aiss province. According to the report, his brother left their family home three days ago in his vehicle, which has since been found in eastern Taraa. Search and rescue teams in Al-Aiss were dispatched to search the area, eventually locating his deceased body in the mountainous region, about 400 meters away from his vehicle.

Upon examining the body at Al-Aiss General Hospital, it was noted that the body decomposed as it lay face down on the ground. According to preliminary medical reports, the body suffered a head injury and a loss of brain tissue, as well as scars all over the body. While the cause of death is yet to be officially determined by a pathologist, preliminary examinations indicate the death is likely to be incidental, caused by a fall from the top of the mountain.

The body has been transferred to the morgue at Al-Aiss General Hospital. Forensic specialists are set to complete an examination of the body in order to determine the cause of death and will provide the investigation team with a full medical report.

The case is still under investigation, said the police media spokesman in Madinah, Col. Fahd Al-Ghannam.
