The Investigation and Prosecution Board and the Metropolitan Police in Makkah are investigating a shocking incident in which a 67-year-old resident allegedly battered his 53-year-old wife to death Thursday at her home in the district of Goz Al-Nekash.

A family dispute was reportedly behind the violence. 

According to sources, the dispute between the couple took a violent turn when the man banged his wife’s head against the wall several times, resulting in her death.

Her daughter tried to wake her up in the morning but there was no response. She immediately rushed her unconscious mother to Al-Noor Specialist Hospital, where doctors pronounced her dead on arrival due to circulatory and cardiac arrest.

The incident was reported to security authorities, who confirmed that the wounds from the battering were clearly visible on the victim’s body. Security patrol arrested the offender and the Al-Mansour police station launched an investigation into the case after taking fingerprints and forensic evidence from the crime scene at the couple’s home.
