The Ministry of Education has withdrawn 26 projects from contractors as they were not completed in a specified time.

The ministry ordered the education departments to withdraw delayed projects, which include construction and maintenance works, and granted them powers to take legal measures against the contractors.

A total of 110 projects have been completed, the ministry said, adding that it plans to award contracts of 331 projects to companies that are known for quality and speed.

The ministry is expecting completion of 200 projects before the new academic year. These project will provide services to citizens and eliminate low-quality buildings. A total 120 educational projects have been completed and 65,000 students have benefited from them.
