The Interior Ministry is setting up a department to deal with complaints and issues from Saudi and expatriate women.

The ministry will staff the department only with women, who would deal with electronic messages and personal visits. There would be two main centers in Riyadh and Jeddah linked to Interior Minister Prince Muhammad bin Naif.

The ministry is setting up the department to comply with orders from Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah for it to deal quickly and effectively with complaints from women.

The department would have a special team to follow up and resolve issues. The branches across the Kingdom would be equipped with state-of-the-art communication technology linked to the main center at the ministry.

These centers would save women from traveling to the ministry's headquarters to meet the minister. They can also telephone the centers using the ministry's toll-free number.
